Tariro Winnet C. Muchichwa completed her Master of Arts Degree in Migration and Displacement Studies in 2017 from the University of Witwatersrand. Her thesis focused on examining the livelihoods and well-being of Zimbabwean migrants under the special dispensation in South Africa. In 2011 she also completed her Honors degree in Development Studies in Zimbabwe, where her research was investigating the provision of water and sanitation services in rural areas. Her research interests include development and migration, politics of difference, livelihoods, socio-economic well-being and mental health. Her goal is to increase knowledge and skills with an intense focus on engaging in deeply with issues not only affecting Africa but globally. She is currently a Research Assistant.
