Prisca Kamungi

Prisca holds an MA in International Studies from the University of Nairobi. She has researched widely and written on refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kenya and the Great Lakes region. She has carried out surveys on post-conflict reconstruction, refugee protection and implementation of peace agreements. Besides forced migration, her other research interests include transitional justice, land and gender. Her PhD research is entitled “‘Go back to your ancestral land’ Autochthony, citizenship and the quest for return among Internally Displaced Persons in the Rift Valley Province, Kenya”.
