Hakima Haithar Heads the Strategic Projects and Partnership with the University of Witswatersrand’s Migration Governance Lab at the African Center for Migration and Society. She further consulted with the Global Coalition On Migration(GCM), the African Union and the United Nations. She was previously the Regional Migration & Displacement Manager for Save the Children International. She has been working in the development sector for the past nineteen years. Her experience ranges from human rights, philanthropy, democracy, as well as migration work. She has worked with institutions such as the Ford Foundation, Amnesty International and Idasa. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public and Development Management from Wits School of Governance as well as a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Migration studies from the University of Witwatersrand.
